Joy Filled Parenting

Every Parent could use some help some time.  I mean you could consider yourself the most efficient parent, or the super parent, or like me the progressive/spiritual parent. No matter what your game plan is, we all could use a little couching from the side line. So when I met Bhagavan Bauer while attending The Earth Jam at the Center for A Healthy Lifestyle in April, I was so excited. You see Bhagavan is a Parenting Coach for Joy Filled Parenting. He conducted a presentation complete with guided meditation at the event. The focus of the meditation was to visualize the heaviness we put on ourselves and then feel ourselves releasing. Even remembering it now, I can feel the pressure coming off of my head and shoulders. We hold on to so much, and this gets in the way of having fun while parenting, Bhagavan noted, and it’s true! I don’t know how many times I have gotten in the way of being the parent I’d like to be because I’m too busy being the parent I think I have to be. And the truth is, my child knows it too! He can sense when Mom is out of her element or stressed out, and because we are so connected to our kids, it stresses him out too.
That’s why I felt like the Universe had sent me a parental guardian angel when I heard about Joy Filled Parenting, whose goal stated is “to support and empower families to be conscious and responsive rather than reactive due to past conditioning.” I was so ready to make a “shift” back into family fun! Bhagavan offers phone appointments which are very important to a busy mom like me. His approach combines research and book supported techniques along with meditation and manifestation. He keeps you and active participant of created the “perfect relationship” with your child according to your definition. The Joy Filled Parenting experience helped me re-think my issues and re-wire my conscious thinking about my interactions with all of my loved ones, not just my child. Anyone who has a desire to create better communication techniques in any area of their lives can benefit from giving Bhagavan a call, not just parents. I’m so very glad I went through his 90 day session (other sessions or packages may be offered), my relationships with everyone (especially myself) are so much better for it!

In the Beginning from Words of Wyzdom blog

Today I decided to begin a new blog. This one would be a place to share my writing, thoughts, and ideas. I have been writing since I was six. I wrote my first poem as a goodbye song for my pretend class of stuffed animals to sing at the end of the day. When I had finished writing it out on my easel chalk board, my mother was amazed and helped me write it on paper with copies to pass out. I gave one to a teacher who was moving away, and immediately the doubt that a six year old had created the poem began to flood my way from faculty members. That served as my fuel to keep writing.

 When I was in the third grade, attending Catholic school, I had another sort of pivotal moment. Our class had just learned that whole "love your enemy" lesson. The one where we find out the very act of loving can change someone's heart for the better. I was so moved and called to action by this news. I was going to love everyone and everything until I changed the world! It was great. Until one day a teacher caught me kissing my fingers and then touching the ground. She asked me what I was doing. I responded that I was giving kisses to Satan. She was horrified! I explained my thought that if we all showed love to the devil maybe he wouldn't be the devil anymore. It made perfect sense to me. She calmed herself down and tried to explain that it didn't work like that. Which did Not make sense to me.

So I learned at a young age to question everything I heard. Afterall they were going to question me. These two stories help to summarize who I am today. I'm a writer, who loves everyone and everything, and doesn't see things the way everyone else does. However, I'm no longer Catholic. I do not bind myself to the limitations of any religious theology. I'm a Spiritual butterfly who enjoys the many beautiful flowers in the Spiritual Garden of Truth. I hope you will follow me as I explore and express this Infinite Universe of ours.

Awaken the Goddess

One morning, after waking up from the darkest, longest most terrifying, painful, bending, altering nights of my life... I was suddenly alive! In every sense of the word. Awakened to all the Beauty, Infinite Power, Endless Potential, Glorious Illumination, Soaring Creativity, And Serene Bliss in the Universe including that which was already within me all along. I suddenly knew... without knowing what it was that I knew. And from that moment on my Divine was awakened. And it is guiding me through this journey. As long as I re-member to allow.
